Short Bio
The great-nephew of jazz and Wrecking Crew legend Barney Kessel, Detroit-bred guitarist Howard Siden has carried on the family tradition admirably gigging throughout his adopted home of Southern California. Siden follows a flurry of singles these past few years with the cleverly titled SONGS I WISH I COULD SING, VOL. 2 – a spiffy and eclectic, mostly electric guitar driven mix of pop, rock, jazz, funk and blues flavored originals and covers, from ballads to high octane jams and the Smooth Jazz radio-ready “Laguna Beach Smoothie.” Siden makes his array of guitars sing on some brilliantly re-imagined classics by Grand Funk, The Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers and Joe Cocker.
As reviewed by Robert Kinsler of the Orange County Register, "Howard's electric guitar and classical guitar is highly respected for instrumental arrangements of classics that have enjoyed a wide audience appeal." Howard is also the host of "The Guitar Show" as seen on local TV6.

Laguna Beach Smoothie Reviews
First thing to say, the lead guitar is excellent..top-notch stuff there. Lovely guitar patches. The melody is intoxicating and infectious, (if it can be both at once). The tune has real drive and energy, but in a restrained way, which suits the theme. Shades of Chris Rea and then Santana. Overall really beautiful.

Very cool instrumental. Fantastic guitar work, which comes to a very nice crescendo near the end. The wave effect is dynamite.

I love this cool kind of jam that you can listen to while either working or driving and you can talk over it if you need to. Its nice mood setting music. I also like the effect of the rushing ocean in the background. Great playing. Excellent production.
